On Superintelligence
No one knows if or when machines will become smarter than humans in all ways. Current AI is powerful pattern-matching, not general intelligence — it has no goals, no desires, no will. The urgent risks from AI are not robot uprisings, but real harms happening now: job displacement, surveillance, and concentrated power in few hands.
